Our Beloved Ambal, Her Holiness Pujyashri Mathioli Saraswathy Amma

Sri Amma, Pujyasri MathiOli R.Saraswathy, introduced to the world by the Great seer of Kanchi, HH Paramacharya as the “Poorna avatar” and Power Incarnate of the Goddess Akhilandeshwari in human form, was truly special. What made HER so, was HER deep sense of affection and compassion, HER morality, HER finely-tuned sense of justice and HER practical solutions to issues that faced us, always guiding us to have an unshakeable belief in Truth. SHE never overawed us with HER Divinity. In fact, SHE lived amongst us per the rules that SHE had set for the world, never wanting to be an exception. SHE went through life’s tribulations, being part of all HER devotees' life journeys, prodding them to realize their fullest potential. Always caring and benevolent, SHE guarded the rights and freewill of HER children. Simultaneously, SHE acted as a bridge to preserve and be the Divinity within us to guide and bind us to the Almighty. SHE led HER life to be an example of what each one of us is capable of leading, in HER own words “Nothing is impossible”.

It is not a small thing when I say ‘Incarnation walking the earth’. We are all mere humans and when we say incarnation, it is a huge thing. We have spoken to HER, communicated with HER. We have sat next to HER and talked to HER like we talk to our next door neighbour. SHE is always so friendly, so sweet and so kind. An Avataram coming down to our level, making us feel comfortable was our relationship with HER. If you talk to anyone in Nandalala that SHE has known, they will tell you the same thing. SHE will talk to you like the sweetest Aunt.

We refer to HER as Ambal. ‘9’ is a very powerful number for Devi. The fascinating part is SHE was born on October ‘9th’, during Navarathri on Saraswathy Pooja. So SHE was named Saraswathy. SHE left HER Physical form on May ‘9th’, 2018. That cannot be a coincidence. So, the ONE who is an Avatharam of Goddess Parvathy, since Akhilandeshwari is a form of Goddess Parvathy. HER temple is in Thiruvannaikaaval in Trichy, which is one of the Pancha Bhootha Sthalams of Lord Shiva. HE represents water in this temple and hence HE is called Jambukeshwarar (Jambu means water). So, Goddess Akhilandeshwari is the Ardhangini (Other Half) of Lord Jambukeshwar and HER Avataram is Shree Amma.

SHE gave HER Son to us in the Form of Shree SankataVimochana Ganapathy in the form of a powerful Panchaloka Idol. We have been doing the monthly Sankatahara Chaturthi Pooja since 2013. If we can do it without any hindrance, it is only HER blessing. Every month, all these devotees come together and they do whatever they can, whether it is to sing, set up or do the alankaram. SHE initiated this Pooja and SHE initiated everything, so it is still going on. Humans can’t do this. It is not possible. This is not a capacity for humans. This is something that the Divine initiated. Then it goes on.
